Episode 52: Cardinals Spring Training Check-In

In this episode of the podcast, host Emily Van Buskirk celebrates one of the very best things about March - the return of baseball. She checks in with a few people close to the Cardinals organization down in Palm Beach, Florida.

First, Emily catches up with Cardinals pitcher Tommy Parsons and talks with him about training during the pandemic, being reunited with his old teammates from Peoria and what it is like learning from the big league guys in Palm Beach.

Later, Emily is joined by former USC Trojan & Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar to get the scoop on his spring training experience. Lars talks about meeting newly minted Cardinal Nolan Arenado, how he's learning from guys like Paul Goldschmidt and which big league guy has the most drip.

To close out the show, Emily is joined by Cardinals beat writer for the Bellville News Dispatch Jeff Jones to talk about the non-roster invite's play and how good this 2021 Cardinals team could really be.
