In this episode of the podcast, host Emily Van Buskirk went viral. Well not really, she just sought out viral video stars and unique content creators and had them on the podcast to talk about their process.First, Emily chats with freelance sports reporter and photographer Annie Agar about her Big Ten Zoom Conference Call that went viral on Twitter. Agar originally posted the video on Tik Tok and didn’t think anything of it. The video shows Agar portraying the various Big Ten schools on a football conference call and really struck a chord with football fans. The girls also talk college football, both Big Ten and Pac-12.Later, Emily catches up with with San Francisco City College Director of Strength & Conditioning Abe Munayer about his farm workout videos. He recounts his experience with the Cleveland Browns when Johnny Manziel was on the team and he talks about working with Olympic athletes at Cal. In this post NFL Draft episode of the podcast, I talk all things football with two very special guests.First up I chat with Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin about his off-season training, the new guys on his Miami squad and we talk a walk down Pac-12 memory lane, reminiscing about old Apple Cup victories. Gaskin, who appeared in seven games his rookie year in Miami rushed for 133 yards and one touchdown as well as caught seven passes for 51 receiving yards. Gaskin talks about his time at UW and which school he thought about attending in the Pac-12 instead, before his mom talked some sense into him.Later in the podcast, I am joined by USA Today Sports Group writer and LSU student Crissy Froyd to talk about how the Tigers faired in this year’s draft. She also shares her thoughts on the Tennessee Titans draft picks and we talk all things quarterbacks, particularly Jordan Love and Joe Burrow. Froyd correctly predicts Burrow’s thoughts on animals in captivity before he publicly share his thoughts on why he won’t be watching Netflix’s Tiger King. In this third part of a 3-episode look at some potential 2020 NFL Draft prospects, I talk with my favorite group of guys – the fullbacks. If you are a dedicated listener, you know I had on Atlanta Falcons fullback Keith Smith and LSU fullback Tory Carter to talk about the resurgence of the position. Now, I talk with 3 hopeful young men looking to make their mark at the next level. First up I chat with South Dakota State running back turned fullback Mikey Daniel about his transition, the interest he has garnered from the League and his goal of being a special teams captain. Later, I talk with Army fullback Connor Slomka aka the Wexford Sledgehammer about how he found his way to West Point, what it has been like to prep for the draft there and what sets him apart as a fullback. First up is LSU long snapper Blake Ferguson, who unlike his fellow podcastmates, doesn’t want the kids off his lawn. Ferguson talks about following in his older brother and current Buffalo Bills long snapper Reid’s footsteps, how the draft process has been for him and what it was like to be teammates and friends with Joe Burrow. Later, I chat with Utah safety Terrell Burgess, who talks about his size, what it was like to play for head coach Kyle Wittingham and how he made dumbbells out of milk jugs for a quarantine workout. I conclude the episode by checking in with Stanford linebacker Casey Toohill about his senior season on the Farm, what the Combine was like and his favorite Pac-12 school to play at. In this first part of a 3-episode look at some potential 2020 NFL Draft prospects, I start with the guys that help get points on the board. A candid chat with North Texas quarterback Mason Fine about his height reveals that some NFL coaches aren't overly concerned with his 5'11" frame. I talk to Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz about the evolution of his "country strength," dispelling the doubt that has arisen regarding his pervious injuries. And I close out the episode with Houston offensive tackle Josh Jones, who talks about why he chose the Cougars over other D1 schools as well as his plans for his professional career.
